As a Home Health Aide, you will play a vital role in assisting individuals with their daily living activities and providing quality care to enhance their overall well-being.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
- Providing assistance with mobility, transfers, and ambulation to ensure clients' safety and comfort.
- Administering medications as prescribed and maintaining accurate medication records.
- Monitoring clients' vital signs and reporting any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Assisting with meal preparation, feeding, and ensuring proper nutrition and hydration.
- Performing light housekeeping tasks such as tidying up, laundry, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.
- Providing companionship, engaging in meaningful conversations, and promoting social interaction and mental stimulation.
- Accompanying clients to medical appointments, and community outings, and assisting with transportation as needed.
- Documenting the client's progress, activities, and any significant observations accurately and timely.Collaborating with the care team, including nurses, therapists, and family members, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in home health care or a related field is preferred.
- Compassion, empathy, and a genuine desire to improve the lives of others.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and follow care plans.
- Valid driver's license, Insurance, and reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass and maintain State of Ohio DODD training.
- Ability to obtain and maintain First Aid, CPR - adult.
- Ability to pass a background check with the requirements of the State of Ohio Department of Developmental Disability.
- Tues - Thurs (1 pm-8 pm).
- Sat-Sun (open availability).
